The Indälo Trilogy
and other things...
The Indalo Series is a trilogy based on the Indalo symbol and the Rainbow. The paintings are largely beyond any description I can give. I can only paint what I see in my heart, and the paintings were an exploration of what might happen if the Rainbow is removed from the Indalo’s hands.

The Shaman’s Path is one of roses and thorns – very painful and lonely to walk, but experiencing a world of great beauty, love and healing, and possibilities … all colors of the Rainbow. |

"Supplication" - When we pray and ask for assistance, the Rainbow’s healing powers are released, flowing all around us and through us. It is up to us what we do with the abilities we are given by Spirit. The spiritual path is one of hard work and commitment – do we ask for something we do not want to work for? Often we want others to do the work for us, but no one can walk our path for us. We are only channels for these healing energies, not the source of them, we do not “own” the energy. Do we use it to heal ourselves and to help others? Do we respect what has been given to us? |

Indalo’s Crucifixion is a portrayal of the persistent triumph of Light over Darkness. Even crucified, the Rainbow bursts forth from hands and feet pierced with nails, and flows from the wound. Walking the spiritual path, we are continuously beaten and crucified by those we try to help and comfort. Healing continues to flow, even in the midst of the worst brutality. In death, life, compassion and love flows. Even in the murkiest, thickest, deepest darkness, the vibrant colors of the Rainbow -- the brilliant Light and Life of the Divine – cannot be restrained, but bursts forth and transforms the surrounding darkness into the ever-flowing, ever-living colors of the Rainbow. The Rainbow is “God in living color.” |

How Light
& Color Are Born Black and white images, charcoal's rough texture... Primordial waters of life, the time of conception and gestation before color is born. Amniotic fluid, darkness surrounds, but light is born within the floating darkness, It is the darkness of creation that exists before the light is reborn, The dawning light of early spring after the long dark night of winter. Darkness is not the absence of light but the creation of and within it, the quiet hush before the sunrise breaks the night sky, We fight the darkness within ourselves out of fear, but also ignorance, Out of the darkness within ourselves the light that we shine is continuously reborn and re-created. |

How
Light & Color Are Born
Black
and white images
charcoal's rough texture ...
Primordial waters of life,
the time of conception and gestation
before color is born.
Amniotic fluid, darkness surrounds,
but light is born within the floating darkness,
It is the darkness of creation that exists
before the light is reborn,
The dawning light of early spring
after the long dark night of winter.
Darkness is not the absence of light
but the creation of and within it,
the quiet hush before the sunrise breaks the night sky,
We fight the darkness within ourselves out of fear,
but also ignorance,
Out of the darkness within ourselves
the light that we shine
is continuously reborn and re-created.
"Chosen"

There is no choice
I receive it all
Pain, sadness, anger, heartache, violence
Frustration, despair
I know what I do not want to know,
I see what I do not want to see,
I feel what I cannot bear to feel.
Not
a choice, but a Calling.
I am nothing, I can do nothing of myself
Except to be what and who I Am ...
A channel for the Divine to work through ...
What
I feel,
What I see,
What I know,
What I hear,
I
cannot turn away from
Cannot close my Heart to
Those who need help,
Hearts in desperate pain,
Souls battered and bruised,
Our tears fall for them.
The Eyes of Truth are always watching us all.
The Creator sees all ...
The wounded and the tears they shed
And those who hurt them.
All
is felt
All is seen
All is heard
All is known
By one of us
By all of us
We
are always there
In the Circle
Watching
Witnessing
Guiding
Helping
Comforting
You
are never alone.
Ask, and we are with you.
Too
long, wandering too far from home
Are
you lost in the darkness of your life?
Come
home to Me.
A
candle burns within My Heart for you
To
light your journey home.
Go
within the silence of your heart.
Listen
for my quiet Voice within your raging darkness.
Remember,
it is darkest before the dawn.
The
Light you seek is within you.
There
is no mistake that cannot be learned from,
No
error that cannot be forgiven.
The
forgiveness you seek is already given.
Now
forgive yourself, and come home.
Learn
from your experience.
Use
it to help others.
Your
light is My Light.
You
are closer to Me than you realize.
