WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Manataka members Joseph Quiet Wolf Whitfield and Patti Blue Star Speaks Burdette will be married under the canopy of the Manataka lodge during the upcoming Fall Gathering at Manataka at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25 at the Gulpha Gorge National Park Campground.  Ceremonies will be performed by Hervie Waca Hucha Chism and attended by the Elders and Honored Guests of Manataka.  The couple will form a processional that will enter the sacred fire circle where the Rite of the Seven Steps will be performed.   The public is welcome to attend.

PRAYER BASKET
Charlie Irons is critically ill.  He is of the Mohawk Nation and of the Bear Clan.  He served both in World War II and in the Korea Conflict. He attend several powwows before his health started to fail him. He always was a honor guard at all these pow wows. He is a member of the North America Iroquois Veteran Association and is Vice President of the Preservation of Native American Culture.   Please pray and perform ceremonies for this wonderful man.
 
Terrie Belvin, niece of MAIC member Helen RedWing Wagner is recovering for illness 
 
Robert Woableza LaBatte, Manataka member recovering from serious injury
Olive Borst, mother of members Sheri Burnett and Miesha Larkins is recovering from surgery
 
Beau Pilgrim, seriously injured during high school football game is recovering well!
 
Deana Moody, fire at home.
